Layers of Resilience: A Mixed Media Art Exploration for Women Who Have Experienced Breast Cancer
6 seats remaining$575
Saturday, June 27, 2026, 10 AM - 4 PM
Welcome to a space of quiet strength, creative renewal, and community. For women navigating the complexities of breast cancer or moving through recovery, the relationship we have with our own physical selves often undergoes a profound shift. This specialized mixed-media workshop is designed to offer a gentle, supportive environment where you can safely reconnect with your body and your spirit. By integrating the flow of a moving meditation called “Qigong” with expressive art practices, we will begin by grounding ourselves, transforming stagnant into vibrant energy, and preparing the mind, body, and spirit for intuitive creation.
In our time together, the canvas becomes a safe place for unspoken exploration. We will dive into the tactile joy and freedom of mixed media art, working with vibrant colors, rich textures, and varied materials. This process of building up layers— adding, scraping back, and adding again—serves as a beautiful, physical metaphor for healing and resilience. You will discover how the complex, beautiful expression of art mirrors your own journey, finding strength in the underlying textures and celebrating the brilliant hues that emerge on the surface.
No prior experience in art or Qigong is necessary; this space honors exactly where you are today. You will leave the workshop not only with two deeply personal abstract pieces of art, but also with a simple, 20-minute moving meditation to help ground you in your daily life. Join me to honor your resilience, connect with a sisterhood of women who understand the path, and reclaim the vibrant, creative energy that has always been yours.
This workshop is for women who are living with or who have had breast cancer at any time in their lives, or who have been a caretaker of someone with breast cancer. The workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 students. All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
